ASBA member Joyce Peters’ work depicting the Marine Blue Butterfly on its host plant, Calliandra eriophylla or Fairy Duster, a plant native to Southwest deserts and arid grasslands, was accepted into the exhibition Pollinators: The Art of Interdependence, which was presented at Tohono Chul Park in Tucson, Arizona. The exhibit in Tohono Chul's entry gallery featured paintings, drawings, sculpture, and other mixed media of fourteen regional artists. The purpose of the exhibit was to focus on how pollinators support biodiversity and ensure the health of our terrestrial ecosystems. The exhibition was on display from May through August this year. Joyce is a member of ASBA Chapter, Southwest Society of Botanical Artists.
