Julie has been teaching drawing and painting classes for both children and adults since 1985. She has a B.A. in Art and a M.F.A. in Drawing and Painting from California State Univeristy Long Beach. Her watercolors and her classes focus on botanical art or landscapes. Also, a naturalist she has done lots of outdoor art & nature programs, and she leads nature walks with a focus on ethnobotany. Julie has illustrated endangered plants for both the Nature Conservancy and the National Park Service. She recently had her botanical watercolors exhbited at the Museum of Modern Art's, PS 1 Contemporary Art Center in New York.
