Nina Antze is a botanical artist and quiltmaker living in Northern California. She has a degree in Fine Art from San Francisco State University and has a Certificate in Botanical Illustration from the New York Botanical Gardens. Her quilts have won numerous awards and her botanical paintings and colored pencil drawings have been exhibited in New York and at the Huntington Library, (Orchid Exhibit, "Orchids- a Natural Obsession") and at Filoli Gardens. She works in colored pencil, graphite and watercolor and fabric. She teaches "Drawing Nature" classes at the Sebastopol Center for the Arts and Santa Rosa Junior College, Pt. Reyes Field Institute and in the Certificate Program at Filoli Gardens. She also teaches a monthly workshop at the El Dorado Nature Center in Long Beach and Classes focus on drawing nature with colored pencil. Color theory and botanical methods are accentuated.
