Carol Ashton-Hergenhan received her bachelor's degree from the Philadelphia College of Art (now University of the Arts) and went on to study at Temple University's Tyler School of Art, earning a masters' degree. She privately studied Chinese watercolor techniques and continues to refine her work through continued courses at the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Art and specialty workshops. Her work has been in numerous botanical and fine art exhibits.
