Carolyn Patterson is an American realist painter with a BFA in painting from the University of Hartford Art School. She has also studied art at Stephens College in Columbia, MO and the SMU Academy of Visual Communications in Dallas, TX.
Her work has been included in many group shows including the International Guild of Realism Show, Manitou Gallery, Santa Fe, NM, the Miniature Show, at the Albuquerque Museum, Three Women Revitalizing the Renaissance, at the Warwick Museum in RI, Egg Tempera, An Enduring Tradition, which traveled to numerous venues, and Variations: Salute to Women in the Arts, at the Cork Gallery at Lincoln Center in NYC, to name few.
Her work has won several awards including the Award of Excellence, Variations: Salute to Women in the Arts, Lincoln Center, NYC. Carolyn works in watercolor, oil, silverpoint, and the Renaissance method of egg tempera. She is in love with nature and strives to depict the minute details she observes with artistic poetry.
In addition to her membership in the ASBA, she is a juried member of the International Guild of Realism.
