Artist, Farmer, Landscaper, and Teacher Kate lives on Georgetown Island, Maine enjoying walks in the woods and beaches with her dogs, and goats and the many entertaining chickens, ducks and guinea hens. Live & Grow Farm is where Kate and her creatures garner inspiration and love for nature.

Every landscaping season is focused on plants, gardens and making her clients happy with their home gardens. Every winter she can sit down at her drawing table and focus on depicting many of the plants she nourishes in the landscaping season or better yet ones she discovers while traveling.

Kate’s chosen medium of colored pencils fulfills her desire to capture the wonderful, fine details of plants layer upon layer and make it seem as if an observer of her painting could pluck the subject right off of the paper.
