Donations

Unrestricted donations are important contributions because they provide flexibility in managing operating funds that support staff salaries and programming as needed. A donation made at the time you renew your membership is an easy way to expand your impact. A donation made during the annual appeal which occurs near the end of each year supports ASBA and potentially helps you if you itemize charitable deductions on your tax return. Many employers match employees' charitable donations. Check with your Human Resources or Charitable Giving departments to find out if your employer will match your donation to ASBA.

In order to continue its vision into the future, ASBA has established a special fund separate from operating monies for getting projects done. A gift to the ACORN FUND is combined with other Acorn Fund gifts in an interest-accruing savings account to fund special projects such as the website upgrade and the 30th Anniversary “Celebrating Pearl” project. A popular option for targeted donations is Exhibitions Sponsorship, particularly supporting catalog production. Levels of sponsorship and corresponding recognition are outlined on the website under the Exhibitions tab and the Support ASBA / Donate to ASBA.

Targeted donations towards the Annual Conference, including sponsorships and grants, supporting guest speakers, the Small Works exhibition, and general conference costs.

To help with the continued support of the American Society of Botanical Artists, a $500.00 donation per person is required upon registration for a trip through Travel with ASBA. Please make your donation here.

Through the years, friends and family have donated or established funds to honor or memorialize an ASBA member, family member, or friend. Sponsoring an award for a specific exhibition, establishing a multi-year artist grant, or a single year artist grant are ways to donate for a specific purpose. If you, your family, or chapter or circle group wish to honor or memorialize a member or anyone through a customized donation, contact the ASBA Executive Director to discuss funding opportunities.
