Lilyane Coulombe

Lilyane’s passion for botany started during her college education in Natural Science. For over 30 years, she studied and painted plants in an effort to depict their amazing complexity and intrinsic beauty. She uses centuries-old, time-tested oil techniques, including marouflage on wood panels. Each work of art represents a genuine adventure that starts with hikes to find native plants in their natural surroundings and observe how they grow. 

Lilyane has received numerous awards, including first place & Best in Show at Botanical Artists of Canada exhibitions. She has created several illustrations for the Royal Canadian Mint.
