My Journey as a Botanical Artist began when I enrolled myself in a Botanical Art class at Filoli (Woodside, CA) in 2012. I instantly fell in love studying Botanical Art and continued taking more classes. I graduated form Filoli Botanical Certificate Program in 2017. I have the honor of being an active member of the Northern California Society of Botanical Artists (NCalSBA) since 2015 and the President since January 2022.
The study of Botanical Art has changed my life in ways I never thought imaginable. It has opened my eyes and given me a gift to see the world differently. It has allowed me to develop my observation skills and deepened my personal relationship with nature. When looking at a subject I see areas of light and shadow, details and beauty people often overlook.
Also, I have had the incredible opportunity of meeting kind, inspirational, and talented people all over the world who share the same passion. It has giving my life meaning and has filled my heart with passion and joy. I am forever grateful for embarking on this magical journey.
