Heidi Sandecki is a visual artist whose work traverses the worlds of graphic design and fine art. She uses her fine art skills to move fluidly between these disciplines, each informing the other.

Heidi’s love of botanicals was cultivated at a young age by spending summer vacations at her grandparent’s farm in Roxbury, NY and through the tending of a rose and vegetable garden at home, Heidi gained years of gardening experience and an appreciation for nature’s evolutionary beauty.

Heidi has a BFA from the Maryland Institute College of Art and an MFA from the School of Visual Arts.

With over 25 years of teaching experience, Heidi has worked in a variety of settings—from adult schools and museums to several universities in New Jersey and NYC.

Heidi teaches adult classes in drawing, watercolor painting, and botanical art. Her classes emphasize not only strong technical skills but also the importance of personal expression in each student’s creative journey.
