Dwarf Bearded Iris
Iris cv.
I’ve grown a number of dwarf bearded irises next to my front door for about 15 years. Though I've lost its name, this one is my favorite -- its smoky olive and neon purple colors are so unusual. Every year I’d kick myself for not painting it. Then this year, stuck at home between foot surgeries, I had no more excuses. The best thing about painting is that the problems of everyday life fall away.
