This leaf was found at Fairfield Gardens in Miami during the 2015 ASBA Conference, carefully wrapped in bubble wrap, and carried on the airplane back to New York. I wasn’t sure at the time if it would survive the journey since it had to be stowed in the overhead compartment.

I fell for the bigness of it and the challenge of painting something that large on vellum.
