THE ART OF CONTEMPLATION

For the sixth time the Saint Petersburg group of contemporary botanical artists "RuBotanicals" under the guidance of Alexander Viazmensky welcomes the Saint Petersburg Annual Exhibition of Botanical Art called “The Art of Contemplation”. It continues the tradition of spring botanical art exhibitions held at Peter the Great Botanical Garden.

The ability to contemplate the beauty of the plant world and convey the state of falling in love with this world through paintings deserves admiration. The creation of an artwork for a botanical artist is a sacred process of communication with nature. We believe that capturing beauty on paper is a talent that everyone has. Observation and concentration can unleash this potential. And that means contemplation is to be!

The exhibition would not leave the viewer indifferent and guarantee full immersion in the atmosphere of the art of contemplation.

The exhibition features paintings completed in watercolor and mixed media techniques. More than 90 artworks by 39 artists from different countries are waiting for you. Various plants, mushrooms, and leaves have traditionally become the objects of the artworks.

The exhibited works can be purchased, it will especially delight art collectors. And also during the exhibition there is a unique opportunity to get acquainted with the widest range of postcards and author's fine art prints.
