Submissions

Entries are accepted online only. Artwork images must be digital files only: 300 dpi, image 8” high, .jpg or .tif, the image file labeled with artist’s name, last name first and artwork title. (Example: Doe, Jane Multiflora Rose.jpg)

ONLINE SUBMISSIONS: Go to the ASBA website at https://asba-art.org/enteronline. Follow the instructions on this page to Enter Online. Complete and submit the online entry, make your payment online by credit card. Once your entry is complete and submitted, you will receive an emailed confirmation. Make a copy of this confirmation email containing your artwork’s details and tape it to the back of your artwork before shipping.

Presentation

Artwork must be securely framed in the 12” x 12” specified frame, which is: Dick Blick “Essential Natural Wood Frame Kit” complete with plexi-glass (Dick Blick Item # 18862-1904). Artwork must be matted with white or off-white mat, tight-wired for hanging with D-rings. No saw-tooth or clip hangers. Artwork not meeting these standards will not be displayed. 

Shipping Insurance

SHIPPING: 

Artist will be responsible for shipping to and from the venue. You will be provided with shipping address and other details when entries close in mid-August. Attach a copy of the entry form to the back of the painting. Artwork must arrive by September 15th, 2023. Please be sure to ship with plenty of extra time built in in case of shipping delays. No Styrofoam peanuts allowed. Artists will be asked to provide a return shipping label for their artwork’s return.

(INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING: You may ship your artwork matted and unframed and we will frame it for you on site. Each international artist will be asked to reimburse ASBA $40 to cover the cost of frame and hardware.)

INSURANCE: The artist is responsible for insuring their work while in transit. Artworks will be insured while on-site.

Sale of Works

Artists may submit their Small Works entry for sale. Please specify sale information on the Small Works Exhibit Entry Form. If sold, 40% of the sale price will be retained. 

Awards

Anne Marie Carney Award ($250) for someone who has never been in an ASBA Juried International Exhibition. Best in Show ($250) and Honorable Mentions selected by juror panel, People's Choice Award ($250) voted on by attendees.

Publicity and Catalog

There will be no print catalog. Instead, images used for submission will be included in an online exhibition running concurrently with the live exhibition. The online exhibition will be publicly posted on ASBA’s YouTube Channel and may be available after the live exhibition closes. Your submitted images may also be used in promotional, educational or interpretive materials, either in print or electronic media, before, during, and after the exhibition.

Availability

The artist assures that artwork will be available for display. Artworks may not be removed until the close of exhibition. Artworks will be shipped back to artists after the exhibition closes.
