Call for Entries: Celebrating Pearl

ASBA 30th Anniversary Catalog 2024

Announcing an opportunity for all members to be part of ASBA’s 30^th Anniversary Celebrations. This anniversary is associated with the gem pearl, the chosen theme.

ASBA will publish a full-size catalog in which any member, in good standing, can submit a high-resolution digital image of one artwork to be included in the catalog.

Images received before February 15th, 2024, may be considered for the cover of the catalogue. If you submit early, but do not want your image to be considered, please send an email to tsm3252@aol.com

Submissions will be non-juried. There will be no exhibition associated with this catalog.

Images will be accepted online from September 1, 2023 – March 31, 2024. Early submission is recommended.

April 15, 2024

ELIGIBILITY

Open to all ASBA members, in good standing, worldwide.

SUBJECT/THEME

Celebrating Pearl. The plant, plant part, or its name (common or scientific) must have a pearl-like (as in the gem pearl) element. This is often found in its sheen, shape, or color.

There will be more than one piece of work per page, so consider submitting an image that would reduce well.

MEDIA ACCEPTED:

High-resolution images of two-dimensional original botanical art. No photographic images, and no images of digitally generated work, or three-dimensional work will be accepted.

$35 for one entry

Number artworks per entry: 1

Submissions

Images must be digital files only, 300 dpi X 8-10” high, tif or jpg, file labeled with artist’s name (last name first) and image title. Example: Jones_Mary_Pearly Plant.jpg

Works submitted are non-juried. Only files strictly conforming to correct specifications as stated herein are accepted. Failing to do so may result in omission from the catalog.

ONLINE SUBMISSIONS: Log in to the ASBA website at www.asba-art.org. Click on "Enter an Exhibition" from the "Member Features Dashboard" or go to EnterOnline. Complete and submit the online entry, make your payment online by credit card. Once your entry is complete and submitted, you will receive an emailed confirmation.

Catalog

The high-resolution images will appear in a collective ASBA 30^th Anniversary catalog. Each entrant will receive a complimentary copy, and additional catalogs will be available for purchase.
