Call for Entries: 2024 Spring Symposium Virtual Exhibition


DESCRIPTION


This non-juried virtual exhibition is open to all registered attendees of the 2024 Spring Symposium. Each attendee may submit one original botanical artwork. The exhibition will be shown opening night of the Spring Symposium. 


With no size restriction and no need to ship artwork, this is a perfect opportunity for artists to share their work. Whether it's a new piece that has just been finished or an older piece from the archives, this is a chance for artists to display their best work.

This exhibition is entirely virtual.

 

ELIGIBILITY


Open to all Spring Symposium attendees.

 

SUBJECT/THEME


Botanical. Subjects must be botanically accurate representational artwork of plants or fungi. There is no size restriction. 

MEDIA ACCEPTED:


High-resolution images of two-dimensional original botanical art. No photography, solar prints, digitally generated, or three-dimensional work accepted. Artwork must not have been previously accepted in an ASBA juried exhibition.

$10 for one entry

Number artworks per entry: 1


Submissions

Images must be digital files only, 300 dpi X 8-10” high, tif or jpg, file labeled with artist’s name (last name first) and image title. Example: Smith_Jane_Peony.jpg


ONLINE SUBMISSIONS: Log in to the ASBA website at asba-art.org. Click on "Enter an Exhibition" from the "Member Features Dashboard" or go to EnterOnline. Complete and submit the online entry, make your payment online by credit card. Once your entry is complete and submitted, you will receive an emailed confirmation.



Sale of Works

Artwork in this exhibition will not be listed for sale.


Awards

A People's Choice Award ($250) voted on by attendees.

Publicity and Catalog

There will be no print catalog. Instead, images used for submission will be included in a virtual exhibition. The virtual exhibition will be publicly posted on ASBA’s YouTube Channel. Your submitted images may also be used in promotional, educational, or interpretive materials in electronic media, before, during, and after the exhibition.
