DESCRIPTION

ASBA is pleased to announce that Marin Art & Garden Center will host the 28th Annual International in The Studio, in the exhibition’s fourth biennial appearance in this inspirational Northern California setting. Founded in 1945, Marin’s vision is to preserve and share its beautiful historic site, while enriching its community through exploration and discovery in the arts and the natural environment. With its gracious gardens, specimen trees, and water features, MAGC is a welcoming environment for visitors to enjoy and a destination for learning.

ELIGIBILITY

Open to all ASBA members in good standing, worldwide.

SUBJECT

Botanical specimens. Work may have appeared in regional exhibitions, but may not have been shown in another international juried exhibition of ASBA.

MEDIA ACCEPTED:

Two-dimensional original botanical art. No photography, no digitally generated work, and no three-dimensional work will be accepted.

FEE

$35 for the first entry, $10 for each additional entry up to three.

Number artworks per entry: 3

Submissions

Images must be digital files only, 300 dpi X 8-10” high, tif or jpg, individual files labeled with artist’s last name and image title.

Presentation

Accepted artists will be notified of framing requirements.

Notification

Acceptances and regrets will be sent by May 16, 2025 by email.

Shipping Insurance

Artist will be responsible for shipping to and from Marin Art & Garden Center and for insuring their work while in transit. Artworks will be insured while on-site.

Awards

Several cash awards will be presented.

Sale of Works

Artworks must be for sale and may not be removed until the close of exhibition.

Publicity and Catalog

Your submitted images may be used in promotional, educational or interpretive materials, either in print or electronic media, before, during and after the exhibition. With appropriate funding, a catalog will be prepared using the images you provide for jurors.

Availability

If accepted, artist ensures that artwork(s) will be available for display. If artist withdraws artwork before exhibition, artist will not be eligible to show at any ASBA exhibition for two years.
