Highlights of the Vienna tour include the Botanical Garden and Library, where you’ll view rare books and botanical copper plates; the magnificent Belvedere Palace and Gardens; and the iconic St. Stephen’s Cathedral. Enjoy a concert by the Vienna Boys’ Choir, tour the opulent Schönbrunn Palace, and witness a practice session of the world-famous Lipizzaner stallions. You’ll also explore treasures such as rare volumes in the Austrian National Library, works by Albrecht Dürer at the Albertina, and exquisite drawings by the Bauer brothers at the Natural History Museum. And of course, no visit to Vienna would be complete without time to linger in its charming coffee houses and savor authentic Austrian cuisine in historic restaurants.

For those wishing to stay on, we are offering a three-day post-tour workshop (June 4–6, with departure on June 7) to learn classical botanical illustration techniques from Margareta Pertl.
Official Registration starts Monday, October 6, 2025, at noon EST (US) on a first-come, first-serve basis. When the tour is full (25 participants) a waitlist will be created, please add your name if you are interested. Discover the beauty of classical botanical illustration during a three-day workshop at the Botanical Garden of the University of Vienna, led by Margaretha Pertl.
In this immersive class, you’ll experience every step of classical botanical illustration: preparing and mounting watercolor paper, studying your plant through dissection and magnification, creating accurate sketches, transferring your drawing with confidence, and bringing it to life with luminous washes and delicate dry-brush details.
Exclusively available to Vienna tour participants, this class offers an intimate learning experience with limited enrollment (maximum 12, minimum 7).
