In spite of this year’s unique circumstances, the 23rd Annual International is on view in Wave Hill’s beautiful Glyndor Gallery and visitors are able to view the exhibition, with strict protocols observed. Visiters must pre-register and can do so on Wave Hill’s website here: https://www.wavehill.org/visit. Wave Hill, a spectacular public garden and cultural center overlooking the Hudson River and Palisades, has evolved as a unique urban oasis and vital community resource. Through innovative programs in horticulture, education and the arts, Wave Hill connects people to nature in meaningful and lasting ways. The selection jury for our 23rd Annual International consisted of Ken Druse, Karen Kluglein, and Eileen Jeng Lynch, who chose 46 artworks from a field of 178 entries.

A workshop was held in October with Karen Kluglein, which was sold out.

Artists selected are from the US, Australia, Canada, Germany, Japan, Republic of Korea, Russia, the Netherlands, and the UK, and thirteen of these have never before been included in an ASBA international exhibition. Those with work accepted are: Seongweon Ahn, Claudia Campazzo, Mary Crabtree, Jessica Daigle, Charity Dakin, Monika deVries Gohlke, Jean Emmons, Ingrid Finnan, Jane Fisher, Pat Giancontieri, Elaine Goldstone, Heather Gross, Gaye Grossman, Olga Gudzera, Jane Hancock, Andreas Hentrich, Asuka Hishiki, Wendy Hollender, Patricia Luppino, Lucy Martin, Tammy McEntee, Inma Medina, Robin Moore, Terri Munroe, Keiko Nibu Tarver, John Pastoriza-Piñol, Sally Petru, Sengmany Phommachakr, Cristine Piane, Debra Pinciotti, Verena Redmann, Jeanne Reiner, Cynthia Rice, Betsy Rogers-Knox, Olga Ryabtsova, Lizzie Sanders, Connie Scanlon, Kathy Schermer-Gramm, Meryl Sheetz, Liz Shippam, Susan Tomlinson, Yuan Yuan Wang, Esmée Winkel, Carol Woodin, Kiyomi Yamamoto, and Natalia Zueva.

A catalog has been published, and Myra Sourkes, Beth Plotnick, and Claudia Lane have compiled “Artists’ Stories Behind the Art” for ASBA’s website.
