I haven’t always been an artist but I was certainly a ‘nature lover’ from the start of my life where I grew up in Northern Italy with my parents. At the age of 40 I decided to take a ‘drawing and watercolor’ course and that was really to start of my life as an artist. In 2005 I applied to study, long distance, a course run by the Society of Botanical Artists and I graduated from this in November of 2007. It was while I was doing my assignment “Painting in the field” that I discovered I was fascinated by the many wild species. It was at this point that I understood that botanical art would be my way of learning botanical science. Now my life is rich in knowledge and awareness of Nature and I love to share my passion with the students I teach in the fields on the Morenic hills of the Lake of Garda, where I live. I have been exhibiting with the SBA since 2007.
